About Product
The 1955 Jaguar XK140 MC Roadster captures the essence of postwar British motoring elegance and performance. Finished in a striking blue exterior with a tan interior and tan soft top, this classic represents a fine blend of authenticity and subtle mechanical enhancement.
Originally introduced as an evolution of the XK120, the XK140 featured improved steering, increased cabin space, and an uprated version of Jaguar’s legendary DOHC straight-six engine. The sought-after MC model (known in Europe as the “SE”) received the C-Type cylinder head and twin SU carburetors, delivering approximately 210 horsepower and 213 lb-ft of torque — a substantial upgrade over the standard XK.
This particular example was restored in 2005, during which the engine block was machined for an upgraded crankshaft oil seal and the original 4-speed gearbox was replaced with a smoother and more versatile BorgWarner T-5 5-speed manual transmission. With tasteful upgrades like Zeus front disc brakes, an auxiliary cooling fan, and LED lighting, this XK140 offers vintage appeal with modern drivability.
